CALL OUT 75 – Call to assist with a sledging incident in Holcombe
December 31, 2020CALL OUTS 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 – A very busy snow day
January 3, 2021Well 2020, what a year for the team…
This time last year, we would have never predicted the challenges that 2020 had in store for the team, our community and local emergency services.
A lot has changed over the last 12 months, but what hasn’t changed is our commitment to provide help when it’s needed. Our dedicated team of volunteers have remained on call 24/7 to provide assistance to our community and statutory emergency services when they needed it most. We’ve adapted well to the new challenges that 2020 brought by adapting the way we train and utilising online learning, implementing additional safety measures and PPE, plus everything in between.
We end 2020 after 75 team deployment and 90 requests for assistance from the emergency services. It’s been a busy and challenging year, with many fundraising and support events cancelled. Meaning that opportunities to meet our community, spread the word about what we do and raise essential funds have been non-existent, so our finances have taken a hit. As a charity, we rely solely on donations and the generosity of our community and there will be links below to how you can support us.
Whilst we look forward to the opportunities and challenges that 2021 may bring, we’d also like to thank our community for their continued generosity and support.
Thank you
Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue Team
