03:40 Saturday 29/02/2020 – Standby
In the early hours of Saturday morning the team was placed on standby to assist Lancashire Police with a high risk person who was missing in adverse weather conditions. The team was ready to deploy but were very pleased to hear the good news that the missing person had been located safe and well.
08:00 Saturday 29/02/2020 – Call Out
A full team call out was issued to assist NWAS (North West Ambulance Service) with a casualty in hard-to-access terrain near Clayton Le Moors. The scene was attended by an NWAS crew as well as 2 team vehicles and the North West Air Ambulance.
The casualty was extremely cold and was quickly packaged using our specialist equipment onto a stretcher then carried up a muddy and slippery embankment to the air ambulance for transportation to hospital.
