CALLOUT 02 – Call to assist NWAS at Greenbooth Reservoir

Happy New Year The first callout for the year was requested by the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust around 12:30 today (1st Jan 2025) to assist with a lady who had slipped and sustained a lower leg injury near to Greenbooth Reservoir, Norden.
Team members arrived on scene and provided pain relief before splinted the injury and packaging the casualty onto our stretcher; before being joined by colleagues from the North West Air Ambulance Charity. Ultimately, the decision was made for the casualty to be carried out on our stretcher to the nearest accessible road, for onwards transportation to hospital via a land ambulance.
We wish the casualty a speedy recovery and wish all our followers all the best for 2025. Special thanks to members of the public who provided inital care and a colleague from Oldham MRT who assisted also.
Whilst the team have been here other teams around the UK have been supporting the statutory services with flooding and weather related incidents throughout the day.
