The team was contacted today (10/1/24) shortly after 10 am by the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust (NWAS) for assistance with the extraction of a casualty who was unable to mobilise in the Knotts Lane an area of Colne.
The ambulance crew were already on scene with the casualty, who was incapacitated, but were unable to get them safely back to the ambulance. Team members were deployed and once on scene, a suitable extraction plan was put into place. The casualty was placed onto a stretcher with a wheel before being taken up hill to the nearest and easiest accessible road.
The casualty was handed back over to the Ambulance crew and the team packed up equipment and stood down to return to their days.
