On Sunday evening (16:50 24/10/23) the team was contacted by the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust (NWAS) to assist with a casualty who had sustained a lower leg injury near Accrington.
The team was mobilised and made their way toward the location where the ambulance crew was requesting assistance in the extraction. The casualty was provided with additional warming (in the form of a heated blanket), and some additional pain relief from the team, before being transported into Mobile 1 (our man van with ambulance stretcher) to be conveyed back to the road and the awaiting ambulance.
We wish the individual a speedy recovery.
