Around 14:26 yesterday the team were called out the female Walker who’d suspected to have broken her ankle whilst out walking near Kelbrook, near Earby.
The team were mobilised and made their way on blues to the location. On arrival, a local farmer had been able to transfer the lady to his Polaris and keep her warm in his barn. The team medic proceeded to carry out observations and iV pain relief ready for NWAS to transfer the lady to the hospital.
We often work side by side with the rural community and it’s not for access or local knowledge our relationship with those communities remain and always shall be essential.
We wish the lady a safe and speedy recovery and hope to see her walking again in the near future.
We’d like the thank farmer Chris Pearson for his support yesterday and for allowing a rabble of MRT to takeover his farmyard for short while!
