The team were called out today to reports of a female walker who had sustained a lower leg injury on one of the old cart tracks between Troy and Jamestone Quarry, near Haslingden.
A number of members responded directly with Mobile 1 on blues from our Burnley base.
NWAS we’re also on scene and together with our casualty carers assessed the casualty, administered pain relief, then slowly and carefully stretchered her off to the land ambulance down at the bottom of the track.
We wish the lady a speedy recovery and hope to see her walking in the hills again soon.
