The team were contacted a second time again yesterday (10/1/25) at around 15:45. It was a request by the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust (NWAS) for an ongoing incident on Pendle Hill. The North West Air Ambulance Charity was already deployed and en route to reports of a paraglider having taken a substantial fall at the top of the hill.
The teams Hilux and Buggy were deployed and on their way to Pendle, before receiving confirmation that the air ambulance crew had been able to safely extract the casualty back to the air ambulance with assistance from members of the public who were on the scene also.
