The busy spate of calls for the teams continued with a request from the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust (NWAS) at around 10:40 on Friday morning (10/1/25), to assist with a walker who had taken a fall near Greenbooth reservoir.
The team was deployed back to Greenbooth Reservoir, Bury for the third time this year (see callouts #01 & #02).
With the initial call having gone to Oldham Mountain Rescue Team, we were assisted by a couple of their team members on the scene. The casualty was assessed, and the request was made for assistance from the North West Air Ambulance Charity (helimed). The casualty was then packaged into a vacuum mattress, and insulated from the cold before being transferred to the air ambulance for onwards a flight to the hospital.
