CALLOUT 14 – Assisting NWAS in snowy conditions
January 10, 2025CALLOUT 16 – Injured Walker Near Greenbooth Reservoir, Bury.
January 11, 2025CALLOUT 15
Within half an hour of the vehicle returning to base from callout #14 (12:45 9/1/25), the team was contacted once again for assistance by the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust due to the weather.
An elderly casualty had taken a fall at their home near Barrowford and suffered a head injury. However, with no vehicular access to the property, the crew were not going to be able to extract them back to the ambulance. Team members arrived not long after the ambulance crew and the casualty was packaged into one of our casualty bags (like a big warm sleeping bag) before onto our bell stretcher and wheel.
As always we wish the casualty a speedy recovery.
