Overnight (~03:30 9/1/25) the team was contacted by Lancashire Police with a request to support Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service (Official) to assist with an incident where a vehicle that had left the road on the tops above Briercliffe, Burnley.
Fortunately, before the full team wake-up call was sent, our duty leader confirmed that the Fire service had been able to deal with the incident and we were no longer required to assist. As such the team were stood down without a deployment.
The road was closed this morning and we continue to support the statutory services with their message to only travel when needed, take care and stay safe in this cold weather. Please check local services pages for updates on roads and conditions.
