CALLOUTS 04 to 11 – Supporting NWAS in Snowy Conditions
January 5, 2025CALLOUT 13 – No Deployment
January 9, 2025CALLOUT 12
On Wednesday morning (11:30 8/1/25) the team was called by the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust (NWAS) to assist with transferring a dialysis patient who lives on the tops near Bacup. The ambulance crew could not access the property to allow a transfer for an appointment after the weather had already meant previous appointments were missed.
The team was deployed with both our Hilux and the tracked buggy due to previous knowledge of difficult access in previous years. On arrival, the tracked buggy was utilised to make its way to the property, collect the patients, and safely take them down to the awaiting crew, who were waiting on a main road.
