A Déjà vu on the second day of the year with a callout to the same reservoir as the callout on New Year’s Day!
The call came just after 14:00 yesterday (2nd Jan 2025) from the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust to assist with a lady who had slipped and sustained a lower leg injury on the opposite side of Greenbooth Reservoir, Norden to that of the day before.
As initial team members arrived at the location, the ambulance crew was also making their way to the casualty. The ambulance crew provided the casualty with pain relief and splinted the leg. As the team equipment arrived on the scene, the casualty was loaded into a cas bag (large sleeping bag) to stay warm before being transferred onto our Bell Stretcher and Wheel for extraction along the path back to the awaiting ambulance.
