On Wednesday morning at around 10:15 (18/12/2024) the team were contacted by the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust (NWAS) to assist with a lady who had slipped whilst out walking with a friend and their dog near to Oswaldtwistle.
Having sustained a lower leg injury, the ambulance crew had arrived on scene and assessed the casualty, but requested assistance to get them to the ambulance safely.
Once a team member arrived and confirmed the exact location of the casualty, further team members and equipment were then taken from the vehicle to the scene.
The casualty’s leg had been splinted by the ambulance crew to support it and they were then assisted onto a stretcher and extricated to the awaiting ambulance for onwards transportation to hospital and further care.
As ever we wish the casualty a speedy recovery.
