The team were called out at approximately 1930 on Thursday evening (21/11/24) by the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust (NWAS) to assist a patient transfer crew.
The crew were unable to return a patient to their home address due to the icy road conditions.
Team members were mobilised, and once an initial team member was on the scene, it was confirmed that the crew and patient had been assisted by a local with a 4-wheel drive vehicle.
With the patient safely home and the ambulance confirmed as able to continue on its way safely, the team were stood down.
