On Wednesday afternoon (approximately 12:30 30/10/24) the team were contacted to assist the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust (NWAS) with a casualty with a lower leg injury.
The team were deployed and as team members arrived on scene, they met the ambulance crew who were treating the casualty. Once further kit and personnel arrived, team members packaged them onto a stretcher, placing this in turn onto the wheel for approximately 750m evacuation down the muddy bridleway to the awaiting ambulance for onward transport to hospital.
As ever we with the casualty a speedy recovery.
