This afternoon (15:15 4/8/24) we were called to assist the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust (NWAS) with a casualty who had tripped and suffered a painful shoulder injury whilst out walking on the Rossendale Way, near Scout Moor.
Team members had been made aware of the incident through a local contact and placed on standby as details were confirmed, before being mobilised to the location. Once arrived, team members met with the casualty and their walking party as well as the NWAS crew who had walked up to the casualty’s location. The casualty was checked over and given some pain relief by the paramedic, before our Hilux arrived on scene and was able to make its way up the track and to the casualty’s location. Once safely in the vehicle, a slow extraction was completed back down to the awaiting ambulance.
As always we wish the casualty a speedy recovery.
