At approximately 10am on Saturday morning the team were called out by NWAS to assist with a gentleman who’d taken a tumble whilst out walking and sustained a nasty lower leg injury.
Due to the location near Trawden and the terrain presented, we were required to use our off-road ambulance and get the gentleman transferred to a specialist ambulance for further assessment at hospital.
Patient handling is one of our bread and butter skills and it was both great to be of help but also but our newest member of the fleet (Mobile 1) to test with both off-road and its stretch capabilities.
The team wishes the gentleman a speedy recovery.
