May 11, 2024CALLOUT 12
On Saturday (4/5/24) around 1 pm, the team were called by the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust (NWAS) as part of a multi-agency response to a report of three children stuck in a quarry near Colne.
With no information as to any injuries, but reports they were unable to move due to the slippery terrain, the team was mobilised. Team members who were returning from one of the many events over the weekend quickly responded from our base whilst others made their way directly to the location.
Whilst en route, further information came in from the initial ambulance crews on scene that there was no one in the quarry and the team along with other resources were stood down.
Our team volunteers returned to base and stored the vehicles before along with others who were responding directly returned home and back to their bank holiday weekend plans.
