CALLOUT 08 – Call to assist casualty near River Ribble
March 18, 2024CALLOUT 11 – Call to assist NWAS in Whitworth
April 30, 2024CALLOUT 09 & 10
It’s been a busy week with 3 call-outs in 5 days!!
CALLOUT #9
A lot of words can be used to describe the work we do but one describes our values perfectly – COMMUNITY.
We pride ourselves on the professionalism, compassion, dignity and help we provide but sometimes a callout isn’t all blue lights and emergencies, sometimes we get asked to help when others can’t for whatever reason.
On Thursday the team were contacted to help a terminally ill gentleman who was bedridden, from his upstairs to a bed downstairs and who are we to not help in any way we can?! We train very hard in patient handling and to overcome challenges for the best outcome. A select few in the team were able to offer the gentleman comfort and help with his wishes.
It’s jobs like this that instil great pride in the team and cement our place in the heart of the community.
A tough job in many ways but one we would never turn down.
CALLOUT #10
At approximately 11:30 on Friday, the team were contacted by Lancashire Constabulary to help with a search for a highly vulnerable lady. Mobile 1 was first on the scene to be informed the lady had been successfully located and the team were then stood down.
It’s certainly been a week of differences but our souls are full of pride and ready for the next job whenever or wherever it may be.
