CALLOUT 02 – Call to assist NWAS near Wardle, Rochdale
January 12, 2024CALLOUT 04 – Call to assist NWAS in Rossendale
January 14, 2024CALLOUT 03
In the true sporadic and unpredictability of when we will be called, the team was contacted again yesterday evening (20:50 11/1/24) by both the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust (NWAS) and Lancashire Police to assist at Ski Rossendale, dry ski slopes, where a casualty had injured their knee at the top of the slopes.
The team responded and team members met the casualty and police officers on the scene along with the attending ambulance crew. The casualty was provided strong pain relief before the limb was put into neutral alignment and splinted before being stretchered down the slopes and handed over to the NWAS crew for onward transportation to the hospital.
Again vehicles were restocked and team members stood down shortly after 23:00. As always we wish the casualty a speedy recovery.
As always, it never stops there as today we have one of our team volunteers going via the hospital to collect the vacuum splint and another doing a deep clean on the vehicle too and the team remaining available for any further requests of assistance from throughout the community.
