CALLOUT 02 – Call to assist NWAS near Wardle, Rochdale

The team’s second callout of 2024 came yesterday lunchtime (12:20 11/1/24) less than 24 hours after the previous, when the team was contacted by the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust (NWAS) to assist with a casualty who had suffered a loss of consciousness and a lower leg injury on a farm near Wardle, Rochdale.

Team members were deployed, upon arrival one of our team medics provided some pain relief before their leg was splinted and they were assisted into one of our vehicles for a short journey back down to the road to meet an ambulance for onward transportation to the hospital.

We wish the casualty a speedy recovery. Following this kit was sorted, the vehicle was restocked ready to deploy again and the team stood down from base at approximately 16:00.
