CALLOUT 45 – Call to assist NWAS at Ogden Reservoir

Yesterday afternoon (13:37 28/9/23) the team was contacted by the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust to assist at Ogden Reservoirs, Grane Road Nr Haslingden.

The request came to assist with a casualty who was having chest pains on the far side of the reservoir, and although the crew was on scene with the casualty, they were struggling to mobilise the casualty back to the ambulance and requested the team in case any deterioration or further assistance would be required.

The team was deployed with several members headed towards our base to collect vehicles with equipment, whilst others made their way directly towards the scene.

However, whilst en route, we received confirmation from the NWAS control room, that the crew had been successful in getting the casualty back to the awaiting ambulance, and as such the team was stood down.
