On Sunday lunchtime, (12:15 10/9/23) the team was again called out by the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust (NWAS) to assist with an incident near to Norden, above Naden Reservoirs.
Team members were deployed to the slopes above the reservoirs, where a biker had taken a fall and suffered a lower leg injury. Our team volunteers made their way as close as possible via vehicle before continuing on foot to the scene.
They met with the air ambulance crew that had arrived and were dealing with the casualty who had taken a significant tumble on the steep slopes. The casualty was packaged onto the team’s stretcher and transferred to the awaiting helicopter for onward transportation to the hospital.
