Yesterday evening (18:50 Sat 2/9/23), the busy streak of callouts continued for the team. This time being requested to assist the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust (NWAS) with a casualty with potential spinal injuries following a fall from their bike in Witton Park, Blackburn.
Team members were deployed and made their way to the location where local team volunteers quickly met with the NWAS crew. As the team vehicle arrived, the casualty was packaged in a vacuum mattress and onto the bell stretcher and wheel for evacuation to the awaiting ambulance.
