This morning (17/10/21) at around 11:45, the team were contacted by Lancashire Police to assist with a concern for welfare in the Bacup area.
The team already had some of our volunteers in the area who were assisting with first aid cover on a local event (Sabre Challenge Event with Rossendale Hospice). A few of these resources were redeployed along with additional team members who started to make their way to the rendezvous point to meet with police officers.
Fortunately, as the team were making their way to the location to assist with a search, we received word that the police had located the person of concern, and were walking them back to safety. With this news the team members on first aid were deployed back to their prior locations to assist with the event and other assets stood down.
