The team was contacted this afternoon (15:35 11/05/2021) by the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) to assist at Dean Clough Reservoir near Blackburn, where a lady had taken a slip resulting in an ankle injury whilst out walking with a friend.
The casualty was given pain relief by the NWAS crew before the limb was splinted and then being placed into a warm cas bag (like a big sleeping bag) and transported to awaiting ambulance by the team using our mountain rescue bell stretcher and wheel…
The casualty was taken to hospital for further treatment and as always we wish them a speedy recovery.
