April 3, 2021CALLOUT 39 – Call to assist NWAS in poor weather conditions
April 11, 2021CALLOUT 38
Last night (07/04/2021) shortly after 22:30, our teams’ volunteers were requested to assist the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) with a casualty suffering from chest pains in a location inaccessible by a normal ambulance between Edenfield and Rochdale.
Team members made their way to the scene and assessed the casualty, before transporting them in our off-road vehicle back along the access track to meet the ambulance at the road. After some consultation between the casualty and ambulance crew and completion of some thorough checks, the casualty decided not to go to the hospital and was dropped back to their home by the small number of team members that remained on scene. The team vehicle and remaining members stood down and returned to base by 01:40.
This is just another example of our volunteers’ commitment to assist the statutory emergency services in a whole host and variety of situations 24/7, 365 days a year.
