The busy start to 2021 continues as the team was called upon to assist once more this afternoon (05/01/2021).
At around 14:45 the team was contacted by the North West Ambulance Service to assist with a casualty who had suffered a lower leg injury whilst out walking with their family near Edenfield.
A full team call-out was initiated and the team made their way towards the location. The casualty was soon located and treated by team members, before being packaged and stretchered up the hill to an access track used by team vehicles.
The casualty was then transported down an awaiting ambulance by Dearden Wood Campsite and transferred to the ambulance for onwards transportation to the hospital. A quick note of thanks to Mark who came and opened up the campsite to give for access for team members to park too!
As always we wish the casualty a speedy recovery. The vehicles were returned to base, equipment sorted, cleaned and restocked and team members on their way home by 17:00.
