This afternoon at approximately 14:00 the team was contacted by Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team to request our assistance with a walker who had an ankle injury.
Team members responded in 2 team vehicles, with others heading to the RV point near Fell Foot, Parlick Hill in their own vehicles.
The North West Air Ambulance were also requested and had arrived on scene shortly before the first team members, the casualty was then carried over a dry stone wall and a short distance to the aircraft before a flight on to hospital.
We wish them a speedy recovery.
